What Our Members Say

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What age can join?

Young people can join from 10½ years old.

They must also be a member of a Scout Group.

  • Do they need equipment?

No — all equipment is provided.

We provide all the archery equipment and required PPE (personal protective equipment).

If they already have their own equipment, they’re welcome to bring it along. One of our instructors will inspect it before shooting begins to ensure it is safe to use.

  • Can beginners join?

    Absolutely!

Beginners are very welcome. During their first four sessions, they will complete a beginner’s course covering:

    • Range safety
    • Equipment handling
    • Shooting technique
    • Basic scoring

This helps everyone build confidence before progressing further.

  • What should they wear?

Please wear clothing suitable for the weather and comfortable for movement.

    We recommend:

    • Closed-toe shoes
    • Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing
    • Long hair tied back
    • Avoid loose sleeves or dangling accessories, as these can interfere with shooting
  • Is archery safe?

Yes — safety is our top priority.

All sessions are supervised by qualified instructors, and strict range safety rules are followed at all times.
