About the Site
Altham is a great site. It is ideal for smaller Section & Group camps. Located near the centre of town, it is great for exploring the area, visiting the cathedral or the castle and accessing all the local facilities.
Plenty of room for traditional Scout Skills such as outdoor cooking, fire lighting, axes and saws. Plenty of room for games too.
The main building consists of a main hall, simple kitchen, showers and toilets.
The District is also fortunate to have a number of Active Support units who can offer a wide range of activities, the Water activity team can lead activities from here too.
