Introduction to Scouting
Lieutenant-General Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell founded the Scout Movement after recognising the value of responsibility, initiative, and outdoor learning for young people.
Following the experimental Brownsea Island camp in 1907 and the publication of Scouting for Boys in 1908, Scouting spread rapidly across Britain — including Lincoln.

Our Collections
A Volunteer-Led Heritage Project
Our small, dedicated heritage team is run entirely by volunteers within The Scouts in Lincoln. As more archives are researched, preserved, and added over time, the collection will continue to grow.
